Cookie policy.
About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how RAM Trader — operated by Wayne Enterprise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 00000000) (“RAM Trader”, “we”, “us”, “our”) — uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and reflects our obligations under UK data protection law and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to make it work and to remember information between requests. Some last only for your visit and are cleared when you close the browser (session cookies); others remain for a set period (persistent cookies). UK law treats other forms of device storage, such as local storage, the same way; we do not currently rely on those beyond the cookies listed below.
How we use cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use them only to sign you in and keep your session secure, and to remember a couple of choices that make returning easier. We do not use cookies to advertise to you, build a profile of you, or track you across other websites.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
- Session / sign-in — set by our authentication system to keep you signed in and your session secure. Lasts for the duration of your session. The exchange will not work without it.
Functional (non-essential)
- display_ccy — remembers the display currency you choose, so the interface stays the way you left it. Persistent, up to 12 months.
- Sign-in email — remembers the email address you last signed in with, to pre-fill the field on your next visit. Persistent, up to 12 months. It holds your email address.
What we do not use
We use no performance or analytics cookies, no advertising or targeting cookies, and no social-media cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any such cookies.
Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics, so we do not set third-party tracking cookies. If we add an essential third-party service in future — for example a payment provider when real-money payments go live — we will update this policy first.
Managing cookies
You can view, control or delete cookies through your browser settings — the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge each explain how, including how to remove the functional cookies above. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in and using the exchange.
Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under PECR. The two functional cookies above are non-essential: we set them in connection with using the signed-in app, and you can remove them at any time through your browser. Because we use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, we do not operate a consent banner. If we introduce any non-essential cookies of that kind, we will obtain your consent before they are set.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
